See you there!
Jenny Bousquet is a singer/songwriter with a gypsy/soul, Americana vibe. Her musical journey began in Michigan as a female duo called Pinky Lee where she landed one of the biggest accomplishments of her musical career at the time, which was playing on the popular live radio show Prairie Home Companion. The duo were becoming “big fish in a small pond” and Jenny wanted to see what was beyond their humble town. So she said goodbye to her dear friend and musical partner Holly Keller, packed everything she could in her Jeep Wrangler, and headed west to Colorado looking for collaboration and harmony in a new land. After a few years of searching, she co-created a band called Mile High Express with some great musicians she met at an open mic. They did some pretty cool things together over the years, like performing on some of the bigger stages in the area such as the Fox and Boulder Theaters opening for Dr. Ralph Stanley and Langhorne Slim to name a few, as well as making it to the main stage in the 2016 Telluride bluegrass festival band contest where they took 3rd place. As much as Jenny loved being a part of Mile High Express she started feeling like a square peg in a round hole. She didn’t quite fit into the bluegrass scene. Since her split with the band in 2017 she has been doing some soul searching and working on her sound as a solo artist. Her songs range from sultry love songs to debaucherous nights out, sprinkled with life lessons she has learned along the way. She is doing the solo thing for now because she can't sit still any longer and wants her songs to be heard. But she always has her ears open for someone to join forces and voices with, for a fuller sound. Girl just LOVES singing harmony!
